In part one, Iwasaki-sensei finds out that Asami and Ichimaru aren’t siblings, but she pretends they are to try and get the truth out of Ichimaru. Eventually, Ichimaru forgets his briefcase in a restaurant and Iwasaki-sensei comes to his house to bring it to him. Asami freaks out over a cockroach, so she learns that the two live in the same house and are married. In part two, due to a misunderstanding and his own fears, Ichimaru believes Iwasaki–sensei told the principal about his marriage, he hands in a letter of resignation. Iwasaki-sensei eventually rips it up, telling Ichimaru and Asami that she won’t tell anyone. She’s upset that she can’t be with Ichimaru, but she wants the man she loves to be happy. Asami and Ichimaru go home to celebrate Christmas. They wound up getting eachother the same exact scarf as presents. Then they’re about to finally have sex, but most of the cast comes in to party, so they’ll have to wait.
I’m glad I’m done with this. I admittedly enjoyed it quite a bit because I’m a fan of fluff and of this type of show in general. However, it was from the summer. From the amusing little note at the end, I see the fansubbers didn’t enjoy doing this. I’ll cut them some slack for that, because at least they finished it. About the actual episode, it was pretty good. I find it kinda silly that they didn’t get to have sex, because Asami’s desire to do so was the whole point of the series. Oh well. Iwasaki-sensei’s actions pleased me in this episode. I’m glad that she didn’t tell on Ichimaru, because I personally would’ve been very upset if I was in her situation and don’t know what I’d do. I feel bad that she was both lied to and couldn’t be with the man she loved. Maybe someday she’ll find happiness though. I’d like to read the manga, which I hear goes further then the anime. Maybe they’ll make a second season someday. I wonder what LIME (the fansub group) would say to that. ^_^
Asami accidentally spills tea and burns her hand, as well as ruining a book of Ichimaru’s. He’s upset about what happened but Asami is mad at him because she thinks he’s most concerned about his book. Ichimaru feels bad and comes to give her milk for Kuri, which she spills. Ichimaru takes responsibility to clean it but since Asami spilled it she wants to clean it. The two start to argue and Ichimaru accidentally shoves Asami into a table. She gets upset and runs out. Ichimaru wants to find her, but Asami’s father comes over drunk. Luckily, Sakura shows up (with Sasuke and a case of beer) so he can go out searching. Feeling guilty, Asami shows up a few minutes later. Hearing that Ichimaru went out, she goes in search of him. Eventually the two find each other. It’s shown in the second half that being out without a coat had its negative effects. Asami’s got a pretty bad cold. She decides to stay home from school but winds up having to go out because they’re out of food for Kuri. She passes out in Iwasaki-kuns store. He calls Ichimaru, who rushes home. Ichimaru is in a panic and goes looking for Sakura. She’s not home, but Sasuke is and has some advice. He needs to get an ice pack to help Asami’s fever. Eventually he manages that and with th help of Sasuke and Asami’s father, Asami’s fever goes down. Sakura finally makes it and helps make porridge for Asami. Eventually the others leave. Asami’s father is confident that Ichimaru can handle the rest. Asami turns out okay and everything’s happy again… until episode 13.
Wow. I kind of didn’t feel like watching this (was watching KimiNozo before, and it’s hard to live up to that) but this was still pretty enjoyable. Sasuke was more helpful than annoying, which was a shocker. This is a wonderful development though. I’m most pleased about how Asami’s father has developed though. He now trusts Ichimaru. I’m sure he won’t let them have sex still, but at least he doesn’t hate Ichimaru anymore. There’s still one major problem though: Iwasaki-sensei. It looks like next time she’ll learn the secret. That’s probably going to lead to major angst, thus I’m looking forward to it.
I’m sick as a dog but back and as expected, missed a whole lot. My goal is to summarize each of the series I missed in 2 sentences or less. This could get silly (and will more then likely have run on sentences) but here we go!
Okusama wa Joshikousei 11- In the first half a random stranger proposes to Asami but without revealing their secret, Ichimaru and Asami tell him that Asami already loves someone else. Next, on a class trip, Satomi and Kasumi somehow manage to save the day because their presence stops Iwasaki-sensei from practically raping Ichimaru.
Paradise Kiss 05- Yukari stubbornly decides to ignore the advice of everyone around her and is convinced that she can live on her own. She quits school, runs away for home, and gets a temporary modeling job from Mikako.
Mai Otome 07- So Mashiro’s super-sensitive about not being the real princess, who is obviously Arika, eh? What in the world was the point of that human Mikoto-looking shadow that cat Mikoto found, how is Miyu involved in this, and why does this show pose so many stupid questions?
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s 08- Hayate’s doom is becoming more and more likely, meaning Viita, Signum, Shamal and Zafira may have a very sad Christmas. There’s no new info on the masked man, but it’s now known that Graham and the catgirls are after the book of darkness.
Black Cat 07- Eve leads Sven to Train and the two rescue him and the kids but rather then being grateful, Train is rather hostile toward Eve. Eve leaves and gets attacked by Chronos number seven but Train (adorned in the ridiculous looking cat bell collar) shows up to help her.
Happy Seven 08- Amano has to sing for school, but considering that her voice breaks glass, the Happy Seven have to train her. Mostly due to Kikunosuke’s moral boosting she’s eventually able to succeed, though things don’t go exactly right. :P
Rozen Maiden Traumend 05- A fun but pointless episode centered on Hina’s attempts to face the scary mailbox and deliver a letter to Jun. Hina also gets to see Tomoe again and Canaria’s crazy master is introduced.
Okay, I’m aware that I just took the lazy way out, but I defeated my backlog so yay!
Part one begins with Asami and Ichimaru having a discussion about the autumn sky, leading to Ichimaru inviting Asami to watch the stars with him alone. He takes the night shift at school and invites Asami to stay with him there. Iwasaki-sensei hears that he’s working late though and decides to make dinner for him and stay with him. Asami is upset when she arrives and sees Iwasaki-sensei there so Ichimaru chases home after her. He tries to explain what happened, but Asami’s to upset to really pay attention. To make things worse, Iwasaki-sensei now thinks that there’s something between Ichimaru and Asami. She reveals this knowledge to Ichimaru in the second half. She promises not to tell anyone as long as Ichimaru stays away from Asami. Obviously he can’t do this, but he pushes her away once at school, getting her angry. As punishment, she cooks an incredibly spicy dinner. Ichimaru tells Asami what happened and she’s happy again, knowing that Ichimaru wasn’t in love with Iwasaki. They’re about to kiss, but obviously Sasuke has to show up to interfere. He asks if he can sleep with them because Sakura (supposedly) won’t be home until late (I’m having a hard time believing him). Asami allows this because she feels bad for him. Late, when Sasuke’s asleep, Ichimaru tells Asami that he’ll take her to see the stars for real some time.
Okay, I know I’m a sap. I find Ichimaru and Asami’s relationship entirely too cute and loved this episode even though they’ve had “Asami gets worried that Ichimaru and Iwasaki-sensei are dating” storylines entirely too many times. I loved the scene where Asami served Ichimaru the spicy dinner. It was quite funny. There’ll certainly be trouble now that Iwasaki sort of knows the secret. It was quite cruel of her to blackmail Ichimaru. I knew she was annoying but I didn’t think she would pull something like that. After all, she had an affair with a student too and hers was actually sexual. Pretty much everyone’s found out now. Sakura knows, Iwasaki-sensei sort of knows, Iwasaki-kun sort of knows (due to the phone call he received from his sister) and Asami’s friends have suspected something since day one. They’re certainly not doing a good job at keeping their relationship a secret. Since the series is almost complete, I hope they have the best of luck. I’m worried as to what else could happen.
Asami and her friends fail a volleyball spiking test at gym and have to stay for detention to practice. Iwasaki-sensei, who happens to be an expert at volleyball tries to help them but accidentally hits Ichimaru in the head with a ball, knocking him out. She takes him to the nurse and tells Asami and her friends that they should finish practicing. Asami wants to see Ichimaru though so she goes there. Iwasaki happens to be out o the room at the time, but when she comes in she sees Asami and Ichimaru about to kiss. She’s curious about this, but Asami leaves the room and goes back to the gym, only to be hit by a volley ball herself. Iwasaki-kun comes to visit her in the nurses office. He decides to take her home and Iwasaki-sensei will take Ichimaru home. Neither Ichimaru nor Asami are pleased and they wind up escaping. When they get home they assure each other that they’re not involved in relationships with the Iwasaki siblings.
In the second half, Asami has to study for a test. Ichimaru is upset that he can’t do anything for her so he decides he’ll do all the housework. However, he’s awful at it and Asami winds up having to constantly come in and help him. Also, she can’t concentrate with all the noise he’s making. To make things worse, Sasuke shows up. He decides to help Ichimaru with the chores. At first he proves to be useful, but then he starts a water fight, making an even bigger mess. Sasuke leaves, but Ichimaru is truly sorry for what he did. He buys a cool book and makes breakfast for Asami the next morning. It’s not particularly good, but Asami is pleased with it because she knew Ichimaru did his best for her.
These were fun episodes as usual. The first one was pretty typical, with Iwasaki-sensei causing trouble for Asami and Ichimaru’s relationship. Now Iwasaki-kun is thrown in as well though to give things a change of pace. It’s quite convenient for Iwasaki-sensei to think her brother has a relationship with Asami, because it makes it easier for her to get Ichimaru. Unfortunately for the Iwasaki’s though, Asami has no interest in Iwasaki-kun. The second one was particularly neat. It shows Ichimaru’s love for Asami. He makes a pretty bad housewife, but the fact that he wants to help with the housework is something I respect in a man. Even though he and Sasuke made a mess of things, in the end he wound up helping Asami by making her morning work easier and cheering her up. Who knows if she’ll actually pass that test though. I’ve got nothing to say about next week’s episode because this weeks preview was one of the most vague I’ve ever seen.
Asami accidentally runs into a student named “Erosaki” who’s infamous for being a pervert. It’s believed that he likes to film pornographic videos of girls. Asami starts to get very concerned about this, but at the same time curious when Erosaki asks if he can film her. One rainy day, Asami takes a train but winds up involved in a mugging scene. She’s saved by Erosaki, who accidentally breaks his umbrella. Asami feels a bit guilty for this and also for not thanking him. She soon learns that Erosaki was just his nickname and his name is really Iwasaki. She goes to his house with a new umbrella she bought for him. While there, she learns that he wanted to use her in a film for a school project. He found that she was the most fitting girl for it, though it also turns out that he liked her. Asami freaks out, but his sister then comes into the room. Unsurprisingly, she’s Iwasaki-sensei. Asami goes home and Ichimaru surprises her by bringing her cheesecake. She’s reminded that she only loves him and doesn’t want to give her body to anyone else.
I enjoyed these two episodes just for its cuteness, but the amount of fanservice was a bit ridiculous. One good thing though is that for the first time, Sasuke didn’t annoy the heck out of me. I found it odd at first that there would be two characters named Iwasaki, so I guessed that this boy would have some relation to Iwasaki-sensei. I was right about that, and this was kind of amusing I suppose. I’m excited to see what happens next, though it seems that the normal tensions will be back. This can get a bit repetitive, some I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised again.
