While everyone is fighting Eden, Train gets a vision of Saya. Inside Eden, Adam tells Eve to continue having fun. He says that her friends are having a lot of fun, but Eve hears Sven’s scream and stops. The ship that that Rins and the others are on is still being attacked, but Leon helps fight from the inside. He remembers of a time where he and Tim were fighting over Leila and wants to protect her now. Meanwhile, Doctor is still manipulating Eve while playing a game of pool. Train shows up to face him. Whne it’s just Train and Lunatique on a monitor speaking with Doctor, he’s able to taunt them, but soon the others show up. Doctor is annoyed, but then in front of the others, people that they’ve already killed appear. Everyone’s shocked to see this. Lunatique tells Sven and Train to hurry and rescue Eve. Doctor uses his tao powers to transform and everyone else prepares to fight. Train and Sven get to a new room with Meson in it. Meson immediately knocks Sven out but Train is still ready to fight him. Instead though, Creed shows up. He’s going to fight Meson and so Train and Sven leave. Sven soon realizes that Train isn’t with him though. He calls to him but Train doesn’t answer. Train is somehow face-to-face with his former master. Sven finally finds Eve, but he can’t reach her. Train is getting the crud kicked out of him by a dead guy. He knocks Train’s gun out of his hand but returns it with a new, special bullet. He wants Train to fire it at him and fulfill his grudge. Instead, Train listens to the battle going on and hears everyone’s suffering. Sven also offers him milk. Train uses the bullet to free Eve. Later, Sven and Eve drive home. Sven gets a call confirming that Train isn’t going to be coming with them. Eve is sad about this because she wanted to thank Train for saving her. Sven cheers her up though. Eve says that Train is now free. They then drive past the ruins of Eden. Meanwhile, it shows how everyone else is doing. Jim has recovered and Leon watches in disappointment as Leila and the other kids run up to him. Creed and Echinda are living a peaceful life together. Rins is still getting tormented by Janus. Sheldon is on his own, but seems happy. Kyoko is back to her life, but one day Train walks near her. Neither notice the other. Eve is now a student living with Sven, possibly as a daughter. They go to the restaurant together, where Lunatique is now a waiter and Black Cat wannabe just happens to be there. Things seem normal for the Chronos members and Sweeper Alliance too. Train winds up walking past someone who really resembles Saya.

<3! While I’m disappointed that for such a long manga this was so short a series, this was a great episode. I’m rather satisfied with the fact that Train didn’t stay with Sven and Eve. His relationship with them is different from the manga and so he kind of needs to live as a loner. It would be nice if he could be with Saya though. I wonder if he even noticed that girl at the end or if she was even there. It is possible that she was an illusion, considering how often Train gets visions of Saya. Poor Leon isn’t too happy now. He still has a chance with Leila though, because she was just glad Tim was alive. Leila still seemed attached to him the whole story though, so I don’t think he should worry. I wonder if in the future, anything will result from the Janus and Rins relationship. Rins didn’t seem bothered that he called her, so that’s a good sign. Please let there be more episodes of this, even if it’s just a short OAV. It was such an enjoyable show. I’ve become attached to the characters and would love to see them in animation again, even if the animation quality is sub-par at times. Hopefully on the DVD releases, the animation will be a bit touched up. I can’t wait to get my hands on Funi’s DVDs. If any Fuimation staff is reading this, which I doubt, please use reversible covers. I love the Japanese box art and want all the covers.

Psycho as always Leon and Tim make such adorable waiters There's the happy Train we all love... But not everyone's happy

[…] But given the relatively large amount of spare time at my disposal, I finished the series, only to find that I had to revise my opinion of the series mid-way into the series. Well, I can’t say that Black Cat was very good (just me I think, since a few other anime bloggers have made it a must watch), but it was much better than I expected. It had an involving plot that continued to introduce new surprises throughout the series (something like Kiddy Grade IMO). The various characters were interesting, music was pretty good, and animation quality was pretty high. […]
