Amu is still mad at Ran, and in school she gets more reason, when all the girls continue to praise her awesomness due to her confession. Then, Nadeshiko appears to invite her to a tea party at the Royal Garden, giving her fangirls more to be impressed by. Later, she sees a boy named Tsuzuki fail at flipping over the pull-up bar thing. Everyone wants Amu to demonstrate, and Ran gives her the abillity to do impossibly fast flips. Meanwhile, the blue egg, Miki, hatches and goes away. When Ran realizes this, she wants Amu to go and find it, but she doesn’t care. However, it makes an appearance again by giving her amazing artistic abillity. Afterwards, she and Ran chase after it. Amu leanrs that her Shugo Chara will disappear if she doesn’t belive in them, so she decides she has to. She’s being watched by another mysterious evil bishie. Later, at the tea party, Amu learns that the guardians know everythign about her. They try to get her to join them, sicne she’ll be especially useful with the abillity to transform into her other self, but she denies because she doesn’t want to waer the cape. While there, she also learns about another kind of egg, which is evil. She ends up seeing Tsuzuki again, who’s decided to give up on his dreams and thinks he’s useless. New evil bishie turns his egg dark, so Amu has to transform to save him. The guardians watch this and are all impressed by it.

Okay, yay, this show is adorable. I’m really surprised it’s by the same people who did Rozen Maiden, considering how dark that was. Although, Rozen Maiden started off pretty fluffy too, so maybe this will get more complicated later on. The magical girl genre can be really, really great when done well. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a really good one in a while. I was surprised that Amu transformed using Ran this week, now that she has Miki too. I wonder what her other transformations are like, and if she has different powers with them. Probably, or else it wouldn’t really matter what she used. Another thing that interests me is why this new guy showed up to randomly turn people’s eggs evil. He probably has some objective, but it is a strange thing to do. I’m also curious as to whether he’s associated with Ikuto (and that blonde girl on the OP) or has his own motives of some sort. Or… maybe they said it and I missed it. Sometimes I can’t pick up on the little details, that this is a pretty simple show to understand raw. Speaking of which, I’ll give in and say that Ikuto is quite pretty too. I’m also curious in seeing what happens with him next week. The preview hints at a potential romance between him and Amu. Seeing how close Nadeshiko and Tadase seem, he might even have a chance.
